The annual meeting of the Investors Club of the Republic of Tatarstan
On December 17, the final in 2024 meeting of the Investors Club of the Republic of Tatarstan organized by the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will take place in Kazan. The event will be held in the TASIGO Kazan Palace Hotel.
Over a period of 10 years, investors and entrepreneurs of Tatarstan meet together to summarize the results of the outgoing year, discuss current issues and plans for the next year. Within the framework of the event participants will present their ideas and approaches on the development of investment projects as well as talk over the ways to improve the business climate in the Republic.
The event’s program includes the Investor of the Year Award Ceremony where the finalists will be revealed in the following three categories:
The Best Municipal Unit of the Republic of Tatarstan in the investment activities.
The Best Media in the coverage of investment field in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Investor of the Year in the Republic of Tatarstan.
“According to the results of the first nine months of 2024, the volume of investments in fixed capital of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to ₽845.3 billion, which is 2.1% more compared to the same period of 2023 in comparable prices. The volume of investments in fixed capital excluding budgetary funds reached ₽706.4 billion” - said Taliya Minullina, the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
The program of the meeting also includes investor speeches and expert discussion with the key note speaker - a well-known independent economist from Shanghai, Mr. Andy Xia. He has a deep knowledge of the Chinese and Asian economies,
Mr. Andy Xia previously served as Chief Economist for Asia Pacific region at Morgan Stanley, where he earned a reputation for accurately predicting a number of economic crises, including the Asian Financial Crisis and the U.S. Mortgage Crisis. He is currently a director of Rosetta Stone Advisors and China Boqi Environmental Science and Technology, and a guest columnist for the South China Morning Post and Bloomberg. In addition, he was named as one of Bloomberg's 50 Most Influential People in 2013.
The Investors Club of the Republic of Tatarstan unites investors who implement projects in the region. It is an advisory body under the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. Club members receive all-round support, including an access to informational resources and opportunity to take part in informal meetings with the Republic's leadership and relevant ministries to discuss topical issues. In addition, investors have an opportunity to participate in business meetings of different scales – from regional to international ones.
