Kazan Smart City and Innopolis – site for meeting of future technologies

Kazan satellite towns became the topic for discussion at the GALA-meeting in the IX Kazan Venture Fair.

Before the fair’s plenary session was held the view of exposition by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. It was also attended by the Executive Director of the Russian Venture Capital Association Albina Nikkonen, «Rosnano» Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs CEO Andrey Swinarenko, Russian Venture Company CEO Igor Agamirzyan and other guests.

In the exhibition of IX Kazan Venture Fair participated 38 projects initiated by the companies from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yelabuga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Region and Poland. As part of exhibitors from the Republic of Tatarstan were the Kazan satellite towns – Kazan Smart City and Innopolis.

Both projects are component parts of the «Big Kazan» concept. At the GALA-meeting discussed the «Innopolis and Smart City – site for meeting of future technologies». The speakers were Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and Head of Investor Relations of SEZ «Innopolis» Denis Ismagilov. Moderator – is the Kazan IT- Park Director Anton Grachev.

Linar Yakupov, introducing Kazan Smart City to the participants of the meeting, noted that the new investment platform of the Republic of Tatarstan – is a life environment that will attract talented people to the region.

During the debate discussed participation in state projects and application in areas the public-private partnership mechanisms, the competitiveness of satellite cities, used in their creation of technologies and the creation of favorable conditions for the business entrance. One participant noted the importance of the fact that Tatarstan has a big experience in the implementation of Kazan Smart City and Innopolis. Another participant expressed the hope that Kazan Smart City in the future will be able to generate "smart" technologies to other cities. Expert in the field of urban development programs noted that the International Investment Technopolis may become the territory of advanced development.

Kazan Smart City stand aroused great interest among the guests of Kazan Venture Fair. There were announced questions about the transport of the project, its logistics, the timing of construction of the first object and a whole project, the creation of a residential area and the clusters development.
