The potential of the Republic of Tatarstan is represented in Doha; Kazan to host the business mission of Qatar

Today Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina made a presentation of the investment potential of Tatarstan in the city of Doha - the capital of the State of Qatar, which is visited by the delegation of Tatarstan headed by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Speaking at a round table, where participated the Head of the Qatar Investment Management, the Head of the Chamber of Commerce of Qatar Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tovar Al Kuwari and representatives of business circles of Arab State, TIDA Chief Executive in detail told about the economy, industry, perspective niches for investment, noting that Tatarstan is developing on the basis of the Republican strategy 2030, with particular emphasis on high-tech industries.

Considerable attention was paid to KazanSummit - International economic summit of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which has been held annually in Kazan since 2009. In KazanSummit 2015 the representative of Qatar Sultan Al Khater said that under current conditions it is necessary to move from competition to cooperation, for constructive competition where everyone wins.

The Qatari delegation will take part in the VIII Forum, which will take place in the summer of 2016.

"I think that the visit of our delegation gave a new impetus to cooperation. In the new year the representatives of the Qatar Investment Management for more detailed study of the economic and investment potential of the republic will come in Tatarstan, and in December this year, representatives of our Agency will take part in the Enterprise Development Forum, which will take place in this country," said Taliya Minullina.

At the round table an agreement was signed between the chambers of commerce of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the framework of the visit Tatarstan delegation met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Trade of the State of Qatar Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani.

Tatarstan delegation visited Education City and got acquainted with the work of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development «Qatar Foundation» - is a public-private educational organization whose goal is to "support various businesses (from the extraction of hydrocarbons to the knowledge economy), the disclosure of human potential". The Fund is coordinating several prestigious educational institutions, high-tech enterprises, and it’s certificates are widely recognized by universities around the world. One of the features of the Fund is that this structure orders the provision of services to its students/graduates, and then pay it.

Qatar Foundation also gained fame thanks to a partnership with the Catalan football club "Barcelona".

The two-day visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan ends today, on December 8.
