Taliya Minullina: "Ecology has long ago become one of the most profitable areas of the business"

On January 18, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive participated in the Board meeting of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Artem Sidorov.

- Ecology in the world has long ago been one of the most profitable areas of business. In our country, in particular in Tatarstan, profitable and interesting projects in the environmental field not so much. For example, we have companies that produce high-quality building materials from waste. There are also problems with municipal solid waste, and the fact that we are not accustomed to sorting waste at home as it is accepted in all developed countries... However, much is being done in the republic. The Board held in a same breath. I am convinced that the new young leader of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan is implementing a variety of innovative ideas for the benefit of our citizens," said Taliya Minullina.

The event summed up the work in 2015. So, it was noted that for gross violations of environmental law violators claimed for damages, and the courts are directed writs totaling 362 778 500 rubles. During the year in the courts have expanded the practice of administrative materials for enterprises - the worst violators of environmental legislation for the application of punishment in the form of suspension of the enterprises’ activities. The courts of the Republic decided to suspend the activities of 104 enterprises.

In order to prevent cases of illegitimate water using holds works of demarcation of water protection zones and coastal protection zones. 7612 km (546.7 km 2 - in 2015) total length of boundaries were set in 2013-2015.

2016 year in Tatarstan officially declared the Year of the water protection zones. Therefore, among the main tasks of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for this period are special attention to the protection and rational use of water resource potential, landscaping of adjacent to water areas, as well as creation of favorable conditions of complex use of water protection zones in view of the special regime of economic activities, providing accessibility of water objects. Among the objectives of sustainable development of coastal and marine areas also noted the ordering of subsoil using, the fight against poaching.
