Transparent purchases – calm investor

On January 28, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina took part in the annual reporting meeting of State procurement committee of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Summarizing the results of the previous year, Redko Olga, Chairman of  State procurement committee of the Republic of Tatarstan acknowledged that in the framework of the federal programs total procurement volume in 2015 equaled 237, 5 billion rubles.  It also became known that total number of customers in Tatarstan amounts in 8 thousand; total number of suppliers involved in the procurement is over 33 thousand.  About 60% of suppliers who won tenders in 2015 are local producers.

 

Having heard the report, Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan President, noted that procurement system should be improved. “We need to streamline the process in order to enhance procurement efficiency”. He underlined that system has to be developed and should start working this year.

If this system is ensuring procurement transparency, it will be in demand; it will be appreciated by shareholders, owners.  I reckon that every shareholder is interested in company`s high profits and safeguarding of assets. If there is transparency there will be effectiveness too”- concluded Tatarstan President.

“Procurements information system plays a crucial role in ordering. Universally accepted standards and positive experience achieved by many countries in this issue demonstrate that transparency mechanism directly depends on government opportunities of making information about procurement available through public information internet resources. Moreover, maximum procurement transparency will help to create closer relationship with investors.  In this respect, new portal of procurement will play a positive role” – considers Taliya Minullina.
