9 February 2016, Tuesday

On February 9, at the summary session of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications, it was noted that population of the republic is actively shifting to cyberspace.  The gross income of the industry resulted in more than 49 billion rubles in 2015, 1, 5% more than last year and is expected to make 52 billion rubles in 2016.

Integration of Tatarstan into the world community is heading forward at an exponential rate thanks to information technologies development. Look: if social network Facebook was a country, it would rank third after China and India by its population. We, the Agency, as long-time citizens of this virtual country maintain web-pages in Russian and English languages. Same is for investment portal, “speaking” in 11 languages. It is necessary to use all opportunities and technical innovations in order to tell more about republic, promote its investment image” – considers Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

Development of the industry is vividly shown by figures. More than 60 million electronic services were rendered to citizens of the republic. Today over 900 thousand users are registered at online educational portal. Students of schools and additional education, parents and educational institutions staff are among them. Systematic penetration of information technologies is performed in public health services too.
