KazanSummit-2016: forum of a new level

The first meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the VIII International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit” was held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov today, on March 22, in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Republic.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina was the main speaker.  She reported that preliminary work on Summit is carried out for almost half a year:

“We decided on the exact date of the Forum - the summit will be held on May 19 – 21, at The Korston Hotel & Mall. It is a landmark place, deserving to welcome honored guests from all over the world and May is a blooming period, the best time to establish new business contacts. Since that year the event officially is entitled as "Russia - the Islamic world: KazanSummit-2016» by Tatarstan Presidential decree. Official invitations were sent to speakers and guests from all around the world.  As of today, head of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov,  Saud bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, the ambassador of Qatar to Russian Federation,  Faed Khaled Mustafa, Palestine's Ambassador to Russian Federation, Iranian ambassador Mehdi Sanaei and diplomats, high-ranking federal officials and other high-status guests from 7 more countries confirmed attendance . Discussing issues of new architecture of global economy and perspectives of financial industry development of OIC countries in the regions of Russian Federation will be the key theme of the Summit 2016. International business forum “Investment and innovative opportunities of Halal industry: Russian and global experience”, exhibition “Investment infrastructure in Russia” (expositions layout is ready), business breakfast with VIP-participants of “Russian banking system: how to make it more comfortable for Islamic business” are planned in the framework of the Summit. We are planning to get a big effect from increased number of participants, a new level of summit, concluded and achieved agreements”.

Taliya Minullina also noted that Agency scales Forum of 2016 up not only by geography of participants but also by global issues. Big attention is paid to heavy coverage of Russian and foreign press.
