Royal experts of Islamic finance
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russian Federation Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Mahmoud Ismail Al Saati will visit Kazan. From May 19 to 21 he will participate in the work of VIII International economic summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit-2016”.
During working visit to Kingdom of Bahrain in the beginning of April, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noticed that Tatarstan and Bahrain have great opportunities for cooperation that have not yet been fully utilized.
- In 2015 leading Investment Fund of Bahrain "Mumtalakat" signed an agreement with Russian Direct Investment Fund. There are opportunities for Bahraini-Russian cooperation in the field of financial services. With rich experience in Islamic banking and Islamic financial securities issue, Bahrain can help Russia and Tatarstan, in particular, in development of banking services, - said Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.
By the way, Bahrain is the smallest Arab country in the world. It consists of 33 islands, and only five of them - are inhabited. It is one of the fastest growing economies in the Arab world. According to the IMF for 2015 Bahrain is on the 13th place in the list of Top 50 countries in GDP per capita, ahead of such countries as, for example, France, Japan and United Kingdom.
