During the meeting, which was held in the Government House by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the board discussed five new projects of Russian and foreign investors.

To the Supervisory Board, which includes Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, were presented current projects of SEZ "Alabuga". In particular, the company "Interskol" and “Alabuga Motorsplan to expand its operations and increase activity in the special economic zone. "Interskol" plans to work in technical activities and declares the establishment of the engineering and testing center "Engineering Center Interskol" branch. It was noted that the project will carry out large-scale development projects and launch mass production of 15 new products per year. The opening of the center is planned in one of the modules of the "Synergy" industrial park.

The "Alabuga-Motors" company organizes production on equipping the basic chassis of "Ford” cars and a number of other brands in the specialized transport, in particular, taxis, ambulances, school buses of different sizes, electric cars and cars with gas engines. The Finnish company "Huhtamaki" announced its intention to build on the SEZ "Alabuga" territory modern plant for the production of disposable tableware and packaging, made of paper and plastic - "Huhtamaki Alabuga". It is expected that the new plant will be a major supplier of disposable cups and lids for the restaurant chain McDonald `s in the Volga region, Western Siberia, Kazakhstan and the Urals.

Marat Sarsenbayev, Director of the Kazakhstan Association of Halal Industry, visited the Tatarstan Investment DevelopmentAgency (TIDA) today, meeting with TIDA Chief Executive, Executive Director of the National Association of Halal Industry Irshat Yunusov, and Chairman of Halal Standards Marat Nizamov.

Employees of theTatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA), Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC), and Tatarstan Export Corporation (TEC) celebrated Eid al-Fitr in the township of Baltasi yesterday.

The festival dedicated to Eit al-Fitr, the end of the holy month of Ramadan, was held for the second time in Baltasi. Festivities included a concert program, games, and celebration of the end of fasting in front of the Baltach Halal Industrial Park. Guestswere treated to hot pancakes, kebabs and tea.

Charity festival, dedicated to Eid al-Fitr, in the Baltasi township held for the second time.Last year thanks to initiative of local entrepreneurs, festive celebration in honor of the holy month of Ramadan, was greatly celebrated. It was decided to make this holiday as an annual celebration and invite guests from all parts of the republic. As the main celebration treat in honor of the end of the holymonth of Ramadan was a pilaf, which was prepared at once in five big caldrons placed in the field.

The Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and First Deputy Chief Executive of Chistopol municipal region Ruslan Husnullin discussed the development of Chistopol Industrial Park today. Themeeting was attended by TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, TIDA Deputy Chief Executive Insaf Galiev,TIDA Head of Public-Private Partnership Sergey Golovin and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) CEO Bulat Gayanov.

 The meeting comes after a meeting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov held in June 2013 at Chistopol Industrial Park. During that meeting, Ildar Khalikov underscored the importance of proceeding more actively with the development of the industrial park.

The Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) hosted the Federal Center of Project Financing of the Vnesheconombank today to discuss the creation of interregional agro-service centers.

In June 2013 TIDA and FCPF signed a cooperation agreement, under which FCPF intends to develop and construct agro-service centers in Tatarstan as a public-private partnership.

Such centers would provide farms with special agricultural equipment available for leasing, a logistics center for the temporary storage of agricultural products, and outsourcing services for financial, legal, marketing, and other services. Such infrastructure will contribute to the dynamic development of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Tatarstan, increasing productivity and access to quality finished products.

During today’s meeting, FCPF Head of Expertise and Methodology Alexander Elizarov and FCPF Head of Investment Projects Kyrill Zendrikov presented conceptual approaches to the development such centers. FCPF plans to develop integrated infrastructure, that provides technical and organizational assistance to agricultural producers,processing and implementation of which would be carried out through the republic.

The Chairman of the Chechen Government Investment and Innovation Committee Alikhan Magomadov and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov discussed the possibility of exchanging experience in investment promotion at the investment forum Industrial Projects 2013 in Moscow on 25 July.

We discussed using the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in attracting investment into Chechnya with the head of one of the most successful Russian investment promotion agencies, Linar Yakupov,” Alikhan Magomadov told the news agency Grozny-Inform.

The Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and Tatarstan Export Corporation (TEC) met with Kohl & Partner today to discuss their proposal and recommendations for the strategic development of the tourism industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Representatives of Austrian company are in Kazan on a working visit from July 30 to August 6 2013. During the visit specialists of Kohl & Partner visited various travel attractions not only the city of Kazan, but other cities in Tatarstan, including Elabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Svijazhsk, and Bolgar. During a week Austrians met with representatives of the Municipality of Kazan, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the directors of travel companies operating in the field of inbound and outbound tourism.

As TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov underscored on a meeting with the Austrians, the 2013 Summer Universiade was a large achievement for the republic’s tourism industry. Linar Yakupov also explained that Kazan Smart City will have four main clusters: high technology, medicine, education, and tourism.

Last Saturday on 3 August a team of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency visited one of the historical places in Tatarstan – Bulgar town.

Acquaintance with excursion program started in the bus - the guide told interesting facts about the history of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Volga Bulgar origin, shared information about the places that tour bus passed. Journey through Laishevskiy region was filled with stories about childhood, youth, life, work and public activities of Gavriil Derzhavin, the family estate of his family in Sokura place.

On the border with Alekseevskiy region tour bus was met by beautiful Kama River. This is home for famous figures of science and culture, chemist Alexander Butlerov, Boris and Alexander Arbuzov. Here is Bilyarskiy settlement - the archaeological remains of the Volga-Kama Bulgar, which relates to the X - XII centuries. The main treasure of Alekseevskiy region is a "Holy Spring", known by a lot of legends and beliefs.

In Spasskiy region travelers met sculptures of horses – there is located the famous Nikolsky village, the main attraction of which - an ancient and famous horse plant, established by decree of Peter I. The plant, owned for decades by gentlemen Molostvov, considered as the largest in Russia.

Representatives of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) met with residents of Laishevsky district at a school in Stolbische village today. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the development of Kazan Smart City, a new urban development project located in Laishevsky district designed to spur investment into high technology, medicine, education, and tourism.

 The meeting saw a large crowd of residents of the district eager to learn more about the project. During the meeting, TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov noted that Kazan Smart City is being developed with the aim of developing the whole of Laishevsky district. He also stressed that the project, first of all, is an investment platform, where investors will develop their business.

The Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and J’Son & Partners Consulting discussed the latter’s involvement in assistance and advisory support in the development of Kazan Smart City today. The international consulting company and TIDA signed a memorandum of understanding regarding this matter following the meeting in the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of Tatarstan in Moscow.

 The memorandum consolidates the interests of both parties in strengthening collaboration in the promotion of Kazan Smart City. Both sides also noted that developing of detailed concept of informational and communicational infrastructure is an important element of the project.
