The main purpose of the region’s delegation visit, led by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, is participation in Tatarstan-Turkish Business Forum, which will be held on May 30 in the city of Mersin.

The delegation also included the heads of municipal districts of the republic: Head of Nizhnekamsk municipal region - Mayor of the Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin, Head of Aznakaevo municipal region Marseille Shaidullin, head of Tyuliachi municipal region Ildous Zaripov, head of Nurlat municipal region Ravil Kuzyurov.
Next Thursday, June 5, in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held VI International Economic Summit of Russia and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries.
The event will open a business breakfast «Portrait of Russian regions. Integration of regional economy of the Russian Federation into the world system» with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian regional leaders, foreign ambassadors, investors and businessmen.
A key theme of the Strategic Forum, which begins after a business breakfast, will be the discussion of food security, especially in terms of interaction between investors, business and government on logistics, land resources, human capital, infrastructure and promotion.
Simplex Noise lectures about computing designing – Computational Design together with the Architecture Institute of Catalonia, as well as presentation of the summer computational design camp SPOTCAMP SOCHI 2014 will be held across Russia, including Kazan.
May 29 in Kazan Architecture and Construction University (KGASU) on questions about the design of the city, building or object of industrial design, and how to begin the process will answer the representative of the Catalan University – Maria Kuptcova and Simplex Noise founder – Alexandra Boldyreva.
During the lecture will be considered the basic concepts, methods and tools of computational design and parametric architecture. Will be considered and implemented conceptual designs in architecture, industrial design, urban planning. As part of the lecture will be presented the summer computational design camp SPOTCAMP SOCHI 2014.
Anyone to be able to visit the work-shop on parametric architecture and try to apply in practice the principles of computational design.
Documents, which identify the main directions of development of the country in the coming years, particularly on long-term government economic and social policy, construction of the Armed Forces, the measures for the implementation of foreign policy, population policy, were signed by Vladimir Putin in 7 May 2012.
In Tatarstan in November 2012 was approved the Republican Government’s action plan for the organization of the Russian president’s orders. In a number of activities participated Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, opening a panel, which was attended by representatives of the Public Council under Agency, the Chamber of Commerce, the ministries and the business community, noted that the activities, where the Agency involved, have three blocks. First - activities aimed at improving the engineering staff. Second – the creation of investment infrastructure and interaction with municipalities to create high-performance workplaces. The third block includes public technological and pricing audit of investment projects with state participation.
Topic for discussion at the second lecture within the Kazan Urban Forum will be city as a system of open spaces, the mechanism of development and appropriation of urban spaces and the role of the designer in the creation of personal space.

During the speeches the audience will have the opportunity to discuss with invited experts on themes: «City as a system of open spaces, populated by its inhabitants»; «Sociologist and psychologist are investigating the phenomenon of development and appropriation of urban spaces by people trying to understand the mechanism of the living process»; «A designer? Does he have the idea of such a natural human needs – feeling space around himself?».
Summit will allow to tell more about business ideas in bilateral meetings with interested investors, B2B meetings, during the Tatarstan-Emirati Business Forum, as well as the part of the exhibition event. Selected projects will be also included in a catalog of investment projects, which each participant will receive in a summit.
For consideration of the Investment Commission under Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, composed of representatives of commercial banks, consulting, leasing and insurance companies, investment companies and funds, were passed 98 investment projects.
Submitted for consideration and study projects are about the implementation of business ideas in the field of construction, building materials and development, medicine and pharmaceuticals, chemicals and petrochemicals, engineering and automotive components, agriculture and food industry, IT-and telecommunications industry, service industry and tourism.
Meeting of the Supervisory Board and the Board of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) was held today in St. Petersburg under the direction of the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association Sergey Naryshkin.
The event was attended by Chairman of the Board of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was held at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2014).
During the meeting, the executive director of AIRR Ivan Bortnik presented the annual report about the results of the AIRR for 2013, including the initiation of discussion on the development of clusters and the mechanisms to improve the federal and regional legislation. Association members also discussed the work plan for 2014.
Republic of Tatarstan enters the first group of regions which have received the highest rating of investment attractiveness.
About this during a panel session at the XVIII Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2014), devoted to the first results of the Investment climate National Ranking in the Russian Federation, told the organizers of the study.
In the creation of the rating participated Agency of Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and The Boston Consulting Group. Were interviewed over 7 thousand entrepreneurs in the regions.
Rating is to assess the effectiveness of the authorities at all levels to improve the business environment and involves the assessment of business expectations by 54 indicators. The most important of them - the regulatory environment (time permitting), infrastructure and resources (quality of roads and land resources), support for entrepreneurship.
Within Kazan Urban Forum, which will be held from 25 to 26 May and from 1 to 2 June in the «SMENA» contemporary culture center will be a series of lectures on urban development and urbanistics from experts.
On the first day – May 25 – lecture will be devoted to the evolution of Kazan embankments’ zones. Among the speakers – Head of the architectural design of the Kazan State Architectural University (KGASU) Nikolay Novikov, Nizhnekamsk chief architect Emil Sirazetdinov.
During the lectures the audience will have the opportunity to discuss with invited experts the importance of urban embankments in modern city life and to suggest their transformation into a place of recreation. Anyone will be able to take part in the Urban Forum.
Further development of Kazan, Kazan agglomeration and its satellite towns – Kazan Smart City and Innopolis – became the subject of discussion at a meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and founder and director of the architectural bureau Gehl Architects Ian Gale during SPIEF 2014.
At the meeting were discussed issues of urban planning, using of the experience of foreign countries in the formation of modern cities and urban infrastructure. Head of the republic in a conversation with Ian Gale said that the «Strategy of socio-economic development of Tatarstan – 2030» includes the further development of Kazan, Kazan agglomeration and its new projects – Kazan Smart City and Innopolis.
Mr. Minnikhanov invited architect to visit Kazan – for a detailed discussion of urban planning. He said that recently expert in urbanism, president of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy in New York Enrique Penalosa gave a lecture on the development of compact cities.
