Visit of the delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov will last from March 11 to 13.

The delegation includes Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Adel Vafin, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin, Trade and Economic Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the United States Ravil Nigmedzyanov.

The first city to visit will be Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Here is planned the work with Montreal Technopark, where the headquarters and research departments of more than 30 companies are located. At the Technopark site implements the most advanced projects, developed by Quebec and foreign firms. The program also includes a visit to the plants of world's largest producers of business jets, regional aircraft «Bombardier» and American manufacturer of aircraft engines for civil and military aviation «Pratt & Whitney».

On March 6, 2014 at the «Invest in Tatarstan» International Winter Forum between HAIER and «Kama Industrial Park «Master» was signed an agreement on the distribution of refrigerators production.

HAIER - the only brand from China, which entered in the top 100 world brands by World Brand Laboratory. Authoritative magazine Business Week put the company on the 27th in its ranking of 50 leading innovative companies in the world. It is due to investments in new technologies and engineering solutions. The Corporation has more than 7,000 patented technology certificates, including 1234 innovative invention and intellectual property rights in respect of 589 types of modern software.

Today HAIER factories produce over 15,000 models of household appliances, consumer electronics, medical equipment and industrial systems of various purposes. HAIER products supplies in 160 countries. The company has 20 own design institutes and 17 industrial parks, not only in China but also in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the USA. In addition, HAIER owns 22 manufacturing plants and 58,800 sales offices worldwide. In Russia, the corporation has its own representation, as well as trading company.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan in the first meeting of Tatarstan Investors’ Club noted that the government's attitude to the business should be improved.

«We first met in this form, - said the President, addressing the Tatarstan Investors' Club participants. - You have to understand what is government and its mechanisms. Russia - still young new country. No long ago we were in a completely different society, the interests were different. And the attitude to entrepreneurship property is still forming. Need purposeful work of authorities, municipal bodies. We must take into account the needs of investors, including those who represent the interests of other countries. The government's attitude to business should be perfected».

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan, being one of the leading regions of the Russian Federation, can become a pilot region for the adaptation of those innovations that can be implemented in the country.

Capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of «real estate» development discussed during the «The real estate market» roundtable, which took place on March 5, 2014 as part of a «Invest in Tatarstan» Winter Forum.

In roundtable was presented the market of convention and exhibition centers, new formats of housing and popular segments of residential property are designated, as well as an effective implemented examples of office and retail real properties. Elena Stryukova from Cushman & Wakefield company  moderated the roundtable. The discussion was attended by Cushman & Wakefield Head of Hospitality and Tourism Marina Smirnova, Cushman & Wakefield Head of research Department Denis Sokolov, JSC «AK BARS Development» Deputy CEO Sergey Urakov.

JSC «Tatarstan Development Corporation» CEO in discussions told about investment opportunities in real estate within the Kazan Smart City project. He also noted that at the end of 2013 completed the development of a master plan and presented the main areas of the project.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, opening the forum, noted that today Tatarstan is one of the best in doing business among Russian regions. In his speech Linar Yakupov underscored the interest of investors in Tatarstan, in particular, an open dialogue between government and business, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency’s activities - an executive body responsible for attracting investment in the region, the availability of special economic zones and platforms operating in the territory of the republic, tax exemptions and preferences.

Within the first day of the International Winter Forum «Invest in Tatarstan» held «Service industry and business process outsourcing» roundtable.

Among the speakers were JSC «Credit Europe Bank» Vice-President Mete Janbolat, Courtyard Marriott Kazan Kremlin CEO Alex Nurok, Creative Project CEO Serkan Gezer, as well as ICL- KME CS Deputy CEO Evgeny Stepanov and Zest-Personal CEO Nadia Kayumova.

Courtyard Marriott Kazan Kremlin CEO Alex Nurok told about the hotel’s decision to locate their hotel in Kazan. According to Alex Nurok, Kazan is a city where there are numerous hotels, modernized airport, and new roads. However, as noted Courtyard Marriott Kazan Kremlin CEO, Kazan also has certain difficulties, including a small number of large and important events, lack of English language proficiency among staff and lack of training courses in the field of hospitality. Commenting on his last remark, Alex Nurok noted that the construction of University of management and hospitality in Kazan Smart City will significantly change the current situation.

Discussions were moderated by the National Association of Automotive Components CEO Michael Blokhin. Topics for discussion were the key factors of the development strategy in the localization of automotive components, evaluation of existing procedures in procurement of components, opportunities, necessary conditions and risks in the process of project implementation. Experts also shared with the automotive industry forecasts and discussed the best practices of Russian and international companies.

A report on the 2013 year results and the prospects for the Russian automotive market made by the PwC Director on audit services Mikhail Nosov. Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok Head of the department of quality Alexey Lemeshko shared with information about the localization of Mercedes-Benz trucks production in Russia. In Tatarstan, in particular, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok production facilities and head office were opened in Naberezhnye Chelny in 2010. LLC «Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok» is a joint venture of «KAMAZ» and Daimler AG.

Memorandum of Understanding between the «Kazan» International airport and a Singaporean Radiance Hospitality Group. The document was signed by airport CEO Alexey Starostin and «Corporation Radiance Kazan» CEO Lim Shu Chien.

Cooperation will be implemented on the activities of the «Kazan» International airport, hotel and office center - the first object of Singaporean Radiance Hospitality Group in Russia, which will be built on the territory of Kazan Smart City.

Forum with participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, businessmen, foreign investors, managers of international companies, federal and regional agencies representatives was held at the Kazan Ski Resort.

The two-day forum was attended by over 470 people. They includes representatives of 16 foreign countries: Great Britain, India, Italy, Qatar, China, UAE, USA, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, Syria, Czech Republic, Germany, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as 11 regions of Russia: Moscow, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk regions, Kamchatka, Republic of Sakha and also over 60 members of the media.

Agreement on the location of refrigerators production of Chinese company in Kama Industrial Park was signed during the second day of the II International Winter Forum «Invest in Tatarstan». It was held at the College of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Announcing the start of the signing ceremony, which was also attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov noted the great work that has been done for attracting Haier to the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Negotiations on the location of Haier production in Tatarstan passed two years. Investment in the project, added the Agency Chief Executive, is almost 2 billion rubles.
