Welcoming Mevlut Cavusoglu, the head of state underscored that the leadership of Tatarstan cherishes the high level of cooperation with the Republic of Turkey on the basis of strong and friendly Russian-Turkish relations.

The parties discussed the current Tatarstan-Turkish projects, the active development of bilateral cooperation and prospects for further collaboration. Mr. Minnikhanov underscored that in a short time investment from Turkish business in the Republic of Tatarstan's economy has grown significantly and today Turkey ranks first by the number of enterprises with participation of foreign capital; in Tatarstan operate 278 Turkish companies.

This year the SEZ «Alabuga» is scheduled to open five new productions with Turkish investors. All this – the high-tech projects, including import substitution component. At the same time the head of state drew attention of Mevlut Cavusoglu to the development not only of trade and economic, but also cultural relations. Noted that in 2014 Kazan became the capital of the Turkic world.

The meeting was held at the site of the International Information Centre in Kazan within the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC counties (KazanSummit 2014).

Tatarstan President thanked the delegation of the Federation Council on KazanSummit 2014 for supporting activities on the part of the Federation Council, noting that the summit is the third consecutive year performs as the federal platform to strengthen cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world. This year's summit attended by about 20 representatives of the Federation Council.

«An event as KazanSummit provides a good opportunity to show the diversity of Russia and its regions, their identity», - underscored Rustam Minnikhanov.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Chairman of the Council of the Regions Representatives in People's Consultative Assembly (upper house of parliament) of the Republic of Indonesia Irman Gusman during his visit to the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries.

The meeting was held in Kazan Kremlin. Tatarstan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Kamaltynov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism Sergey Ivanov.

Mr. Minnikhanov, welcoming members of the Indonesian delegation, particularly thanked them for accepting the invitation to participate in the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) KazanSummit 2014.

Member of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Batin will participate in the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014).

«At the upcoming summit will discuss issues such as the strengthening of trade and economic relations with the OIC countries, the establishment of a favorable business climate to attract investments, - says Sergey Batin. - It will be attended by business representatives and experts from the Islamic countries. There will discuss topics such as the role of the Islamic Development Bank in the global financial system, the role of Islamic capital in the integration processes between the OIC countries, CIS and Russia».

According to the senator, at last year's summit in Kazan, some representatives of Islamic business have already expressed interest in a number of Tatarstan’s projects.

As Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov told, the response of OIC countries’ business invited to participate in the International Economic Summit, First considers to be a positive trend.

Senator notes that the holding in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan KazanSummit convincingly demonstrates that Islamic countries have their own point of view on many of the processes in the world.

Russia appreciates the partnership, we will continue to develop cooperation with the Islamic world».

As part of a business trip to the Republic of Tatarstan DAF Energy delegation is exploring investment opportunities of the region.

Working fields of the Turkish energy service company were presented at the meeting with the leadership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Tatarstan Development Corporation. Parties, in particular, discussed issues and opportunities for DAF Energy’s participation in Kazan Smart City project.

Work of DAF Energy is based on three main areas. At the factory, located in the industrial city Tuzla Sanayi Sitesi in an area of about 4 thousand square meters is located production of thermal stations. DAF Energy sells power facility, calorimeters, heat distributors, meters for hot and cold water, as well as provides technical support for the proper and accurate installation system of heat distributing. In Turkey, the company’s services used more than 96 thousand apartments and houses.

In comments to the upcoming KazanSummit 2014 Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council said that the annual International Economic Summit of Russia and countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has become a platform for the development of various formats of cooperation between Russian regions with countries and international organizations of the Islamic world.

With the support of the Federation Council KazanSummit held since 2012. Within KazanSummit the third consecutive year holds consultative meeting of parliamentarians of Russia and OIC countries. Among the relevant topics for discussion at the VI International Economic  of Russia and OIC countries, as Ilyas Umahanov noted, are Islamic economics and finance, technology and innovation.

During the visit to the republic guests not only will take an active part in the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014), but also hold a series of business meetings and negotiations.

Cooperation with Malaysia, including the Kazan Smart City project, the delegation discussed at a meeting with the leadership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Tatarstan Development Corporation. The delegation of Malaysia, in particular, includes the chief architect of Kazan Smart City Norliza Hashim and representatives of the international consortium that developed the master plan of technopolis.

The sides exchanged views on prospects of cooperation of Malaysia and the Republic of Tatarstan, and discussed the possibility of working together within the Kazan Smart City, projects in education and hospitality.

The signing ceremony took place during the X session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Venezuelan high level commission in Moscow.

Under the agreement for cooperation in the field of Health Ministry of Health of Venezuela within 60 days will send a team of competent professionals on medicines, medical instruments and equipment, supplies and other specialized products to Tatarstan.

Venezuelan professionals to visit medical enterprises and organizations of Tatarstan, become familiar with their products and look for the possibilities for accommodation in the Republic of the large state orders for the needs of national public health system of Venezuela.

Program of the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014), which will be held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from 5 to 6 June, was presented today at a press conference in Tatmedia with the participation of the Kazan Summit Organizing Committee Chairman, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.

At a meeting with regional media journalists were presented the main events of the upcoming summit: Strategic Forum, where a key theme is the food security, the Tatarstan-Emirati Business Forum, Tatarstan Investors’ Club meeting, Kazan First Urban Forum, a round table on promoting a brand of the region, the International Trade Forum, direct and B2Bmeetings.
