Experience of the Republic of Tatarstan on investment attraction was discussed with the representatives of the delegation at the meeting held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Delegation of the Republic of Karelia in the working trip to Tatarstan is headed by the head of the region Alexander Khudilainen. During the visit is scheduled to meet with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the signing of a new agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation for a period of 5 years.

At a meeting with the leadership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, guests discussed issues of interdepartmental and inter-regional cooperation, the establishment and development of industrial parks. With Tatarstan Investment Development Agency of Chelyabinsk Region Oleg Permyakov sides discussed promotion of the investment potential of the region, relations with investors and support of investment projects.

INVEST IN RUSSIA resource was launched within the work of the Centre for attracting investment in the regions of Russia, which was created in 2013. An adapted version of the portal is fully focused on Chinese users and contains specific information about the Russian-Chinese trade and economic and investment cooperation.

During the tour of the World Trade Centre (WTC) Free Zone Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and WTC Commercial Director Mario Tucci discussed intelligent technologies in the implementation of services, exported remotely via the free economic zones, industrial parks and innovative platforms.

Mr. Minnikhanov during the conversation said that in addition to the traditional areas of the real economy, such as the automotive and aircraft industry, ship and helicopter building, agriculture and petroleum refining, to the Republic of Tatarstan is important to develop new directions – IT-technology, telecommunications, robotics. These segments, as the President of the Republic of Tatarstan underscored, can bring to Tatarstan and Uruguayan partners opportunities to implement mutually beneficial projects.

Presentation to delegation of the region led by Rustam Minnikhanov was held by «Zonamerica» Vice-president Isidoro Odara and Technopark Development Manager Leonardo Bonilla. The meeting was held in «Celebra Building» – the area’s main building, best office building in the world as recognized in the 2010.

Mr. Minnikhanov at the meeting told about Tatarstan’s projects on creating of special economic zones: SEZ «Alabuga», «Innopolis», Kazan Smart City.

Within the official visit to Uruguay Rustam Minnikhanov met with Uruguayan automobile company «Oversil» Director Herman Soler.

The sides discussed potential of cooperation with Tatarstan in the field of production and promotion of automotive products. Mr. Minnikhanov noted that automotive plants JSC «KAMAZ», JSC «Sollers» and JSC «ElAZ», and actively developing companies producing automotive components, lubricants, form in Tatarstan powerful industrial cluster.

With representatives of leading Latin American companies operating in the dairy industry, Rustam Minnikhanov met in Uruguay.

With Danilo Astori, who is the vice-president of Uruguay and President of the General Assembly (Parliament) of Uruguay, met the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Welcoming Danilo Astori, Mr. Minnikhanov shared that he is glad for the opportunity to learn more about Uruguay, to meet the socio-economic, scientific-technical and cultural development of the state, to explore the possibilities of economic cooperation, to establish contacts between business circles. Head of the region expressed the hope that the mutual interest between the two regions is undoubtedly will give an opportunity to implement joint projects.
