The signing ceremony was held during the Tatarstan -Turkey business forum held in Antalya.

The agreement provides the organization of tourist exchanges between the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkey. Together with Atlasjet the travel company already generates packets for Turkish tourists visiting Kazan.

Noted that the main issue from the airline is to increase the frequency of regular flights to Kazan. Interest and intention to study the issue of increasing the frequency of flights with the relevant authorities underscored President Rustam Minnikhanov, who met with the leadership of Atlasjet during his visit to Antalya.

The presentation of economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was attended by over 100 Turkish businessmen.

Forum, which was held during the official visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov in Antalya, opened by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce Çetin Osman Budak. Welcoming the participants, he noted that the Kazan from 2002 is twinned with Antalya, since 2006 functions an agreement between commercial and industrial chambers of Turkish and Russian regions.

About the prospects of cooperation between Tatarstan and Antalya told Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, underscoring that today cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey is actively developing in the Russian-Turkish relations. The President assured the Turkish entrepreneurs in the desire to create the most favorable conditions for investors and invited them to Tatarstan.

Structure, composition and direction of specialized non-commercial partnership (NGO) «Association of regional agencies» were identified during the first meeting of the Association, which was chaired by the Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation Igor Slyunyayev in Moscow.

The initiator of the Association together with the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia in partnership with regional agencies to attract investment, development corporations and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) were Russian Investment Agency «Invest in Russia».

Association of regional agencies created as a platform for interaction and exchange of experiences among investment agencies in the Russian Federation, as well as their integration into the international investment community. Its main working directions are publishing material about the investment climate areas, the provision of information to potential investors about the investment potential of the country and regions of Russia, state programs to support investors, the priority sectors of the Russian economy for investment, investment features into each region and sector.

The delegation was headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq in the Russian Federation Ismail Shafiq Muhsin.

Today in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) was held a meeting of the delegation of the Iraq Embassy in the Russian Federation with the Agency Chief Executive First Deputy Robert Galiullin.

The meeting was also attended by TIDA Head of Investment Projects Examination Rustam Mingazov and Tatarstan Export Corporation CEO Ayrat Nazmeev.

The meeting was held in Ashgabat during the official visit of the Tatarstan’s delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov to Turkmenistan.

It was attended by Minister of Agriculture and animal husbandry of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Mehdi Eker, Chief Secretary for Administration of the President of Turkey Mustafa Isen, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Naci Koru, Member of Parliament of the Turkey Mustafa Kapudzhu. From the Republic of Tatarstan the meeting attended by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Transport and Road Lenar Safin.

Mr. Minnikhanov noted that Turkey is the first by joint ventures with foreign participation in the Republic of Tatarstan. For example in the special economic zone «Alabuga» Turkish investment volume is about 1.5 billion dollars. Tatarstan President underscored that the Turkish companies, whose production has been placed on the territory of «Alabuga» recently took an active part in the meeting of the Consultative Council on Foreign Investment, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.

Trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the parties discussed during the official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan in Turkmenistan.

At a bilateral meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Mr. Minnikhanov expressed confidence that the visit of Tatarstan delegation will promote further development of relations between the parties in various fields.

In a more extended composition – with the participation of Tatarstan’s profile companies – were presented opportunities for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in the fields of engineering, aviation, shipbuilding and petrochemical industries.

During the two-day visit the head of the region met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, held a series of business meetings and participated in the celebrations dedicated to the Feast of the Turkmen Horse.

The delegation of the Republic includes the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin.

Among the leaders of Tatarstan enterprises Turkmenistan visited JSC «Tatneft» CEO Nail Maganov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» Vladimir Bulgakov, JSC «KAMAZ» CEO Sergey Kogoghin and others.

The meeting, which was held last Friday at the site of a special economic zone, was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

In the working discussions chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov also attended Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Adel Vafin, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov and several other heads of regional departments and agencies.

Starting the meeting was preceded by a presentation of investment opportunities of SEZ «Alabuga» with the participation of special areas’ foreign investors: about the business development in the Republic of Tatarstan told representatives of Armstrong, 3M «Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry». The leadership of foreign investor companies shared their opinions about the benefits of a special economic zone and the opportunities offered to foreign businesses by the Republic of Tatarstan.

Kazan satellite towns became the topic for discussion at the GALA-meeting in the IX Kazan Venture Fair.

Before the fair’s plenary session was held the view of exposition by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. It was also attended by the Executive Director of the Russian Venture Capital Association Albina Nikkonen, «Rosnano» Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs CEO Andrey Swinarenko, Russian Venture Company CEO Igor Agamirzyan and other guests.

In the exhibition of IX Kazan Venture Fair participated 38 projects initiated by the companies from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yelabuga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Region and Poland. As part of exhibitors from the Republic of Tatarstan were the Kazan satellite towns – Kazan Smart City and Innopolis.

The initiator of the first such event in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of Kazan City Hall acts the operator of Kazan Smart City project – JSC «Tatarstan Development Corporation», together with the Organizing Committee of the VI International Economic Summit in Russia and the OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014).

Capital of Tatarstan, to become the third Russian city, where to host forum on issues of urban development and improvement, as well as the integrated development of territories. Prior to this, this event was hold only in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Prerequisite to be holding in Kazan the Urban Forum was the active development of Kazan agglomeration, expressed in the concept of «Big Kazan», which includes such large-scale projects as Kazan Smart City, Innopolis and Aerotropolis.
