Welcoming the members and participants of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that 2013 will be remembered at the history of Tatarstan and the country as the year of the XXVII World Summer Universiade - worldwide large sport and cultural event.

The event is organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Non-Profit Fund for Development of Islamic Business and Finance, under the patronage of Tatarstan President.

At the press conference, journalists will be informed about the preparation of the KazanSummit 2013, the fifth annual International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries, the program and the most important issues and problems that will be discussed during the KazanSummit 2013.

V International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2013) will be held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, on October 2-3. The event is organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Non-Profit Fund for Development of Islamic Business and Finance, under the patronage of Tatarstan President. In 2012 KazanSummit got a higher level thanks to the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. From the Federation Council this year 10 senators plan to attend KazanSummit.

Representatives of Polish companies presented their interest in opening productions in Tatarstan, finding partners and studying the republic‘s market. The meeting was held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

The meeting was attended by TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, TIDA Head of investment promotion Wyatt Ford, TIDA Head of development and examination of investment projects department Guzel Mullayarova, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan Arthur Nikolaev, representatives of Polish companies and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Poland.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, who is on a working visit to the city of Monterrey in Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, noted that Tatarstan Republic is interested in the export of tire products.

“We actively work in this direction. In 2013 was created Tatarstan Export Corporation, which is work on increasing the volume of products to foreign markets", - underscored Linar Yakupov.

KAMAZ and Mexican Metalsa discuss a joint project on investment in production in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Negotiations between the Russian automaker and the Mexican company, operating in the production of automotive components, were held in the framework of the working visit of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and Deputy General Director of JSC "KAMAZ" Irek Gumerov to the city of Monterrey in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, where is located Metalsa headquarter.

"We negotiates with five or six companies in Mexico, but so far we can not call them, so I hope that the project between Kamaz and Metalsa is not the only one, but will be the first one among others," - noted in an interview Linar Yakupov after a meeting with business circles of Tatarstan and the State of Nuevo Leon. Linar Yakupov also underscored that other Mexican companies are also interested to go into this segment of Tatarstan.
