The official launch of the BASF first production line took place in "Himgrad" technopolis with the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The new BASF plant will produce about 20 kinds of additives in the last generation concrete. On the plant is also opened laboratory of quality control and production efficiency. In the process of recipes selection is taken into account the specificity of local production of binders and fillers.
At the first production line launching ceremony, BASF also presented innovative solutions for the industry of Tatarstan in the fields of construction, agriculture, automotive, housing, food production and water treatment. The use of their technology BASF demonstrated in a real-time.
The award ceremony was held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. Competition for the creation of Kazan Smart City eco-models, organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC), launched on June 15, 2013. The initiators of the competition set goals to draw public attention to the problem of environmental pollution and to involve young people to respect nature. In competition participated 7 teams, members are students and graduates of Kazan Architectural University.
Models also had a number of requirements. For example, it must be made from recycled and reclaimed materials in line with the concept of Kazan Smart City master plan and be creative. The work was rated by architects, representatives of prototyping workshops, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Tatarstan Development Corporation, the foreign partners of the Agency and the TDC.

April 30, current year at the III Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai in the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, was signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Kazan Smart City project. It was signed between Tatarstan Development Corporation and TGIC (Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company). Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company, which is founded by a group of investment companies of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, established in 2013 for bringing an another investment companies of the Middle East to the project.
The project, first phase of which values 3.7 billion rubles, was presented at the Tatarstan-Turkish business forum.
Today in "Korston" with the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Zafer Çağlayan opened Tatarstan-Turkish business forum. The forum was attended by about 100 Turkish and 200 Tatarstan companies.
