Tatarstan Development Corporation and an international company Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company (TGIC) today signed an agreement on preparation of investment analysis of individual sites in Kazan Smart City.

Cooperation agreement with the presence of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov signed Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and TGIC director Rachid Karmastadzhi.

April 30, current year at the III Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai in the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, was signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Kazan Smart City project. It was signed between Tatarstan Development Corporation and TGIC (Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company). Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company, which is founded by a group of investment companies of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, established in 2013 for bringing an another investment companies of the Middle East to the project.

The project, first phase of which values 3.7 billion rubles, was presented at the Tatarstan-Turkish business forum.

Today in "Korston" with the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Zafer Çağlayan opened Tatarstan-Turkish business forum. The forum was attended by about 100 Turkish and 200 Tatarstan companies.

As Rustam Minnikhanov underscored, holding in Kazan meetings with the business community in Turkey has become a good tradition and demonstrates good relations between Tatarstan and Turkey. Tatarstan President also stressed that Turkey - one of the leading economic partners of the republic. The volume of trade between two republics in the past year amounted to 930 million dollars, the amount claimed by Turkey investment in Tatarstan - more than $ 1.5 billion. Turkey also leads in the number of joint ventures with Tatarstan – in the territory of Tatarstan registered 278 such companies. The largest Turkey companies are residents of the SEZ "Alabuga".

The company's interests in the developing its business in the territory of the republic were presented today at a meeting with the leadership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the specialists of the Tatarstan Development Corporation.

As the director of the project business in Russia and the CIS, Oliver Rees noted, the decision to expand the company's presence in Tatarstan was made a few years ago, but financial crisis prevented its realization. Oliver Rees also said that today at the management level of the company once again begins the discussion on the implementation of strategic plans for the developing business in the Republic  of Tatarstan. In particular, Grohe AG is interested in taking an active part in the implementation of major projects in Tatarstan. For example, they supplied products of Grohe AG to a number of the Universiade objects and the International airport "Kazan".

Spanish Faurecia Automotive Exteriors, generating body of the car, and the Kazan company "Hiton-plast 2", which is work in the production of plastic parts for the automotive industry plan to create the joint venture for the production of automotive components for Ford Sollers.

Recently in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was a meeting of the Investment Commission with the participation of representatives of commercial banks, consulting, leasing, insurance, investment companies and funds, state and municipal agencies. The main subject of discussion was a joint production project of Faurecia Automotive Exteriors and "Hiton-plast 2", as well as development project of the industrial park "Investor" in Naberezhny Chelny, whose territory is considered to be a platform for a new production.

In the capital of the northeastern Mexican state - Nuevo Leon continues a working visit of representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

On the first day of the visit was a meeting of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency with the Metalsa Company. Also TIDA Chief Executive met with Mr. Rolando Zubiran - a representative of Nuevo Leon Government, who is oversees foreign investment and international trade direction.

Representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency are on a working visit in the Monterrey city, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

On the first day of the visit was a meeting of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency with the Metalsa Company. The meeting was attended by Metalsa CEO Leopoldo Cedillo, President of "commercial transport" direction Angel Loredo and Vice President of Development Perikls Aretos.

During the meeting, representatives of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency acquainted with the possibilities of Metalsa and visited the production platforms of the company. Metalsa’s leadership noted that the company is interested in deploying their production in Russia, whose market is a priority for the company. Tatarstan is an attractive region for entering Russian market. Sides discussed the location of automotive components’ production in the republic.

In the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was a meeting with the Thai delegation, led by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in the Russian Federation, Mr. Itti Ditbanjong.

The delegation, which arrived in Tatarstan in a two-day visit, also has the plenipotentiary minister of Thailand Nitai Dzhessadachatr, Economic adviser Bunyarit Vichienpuntu and Adviser of the trade representative Sisapat Vacharapay.

During the meeting, which was also attended by TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov and Tatarstan Export Corporation CEO Airat Nazmeev, were discussed questions of tourism and service industry, export, halal industry, medicine and pharmacy. The guests were also acquainted with the economic and investment potential of the republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Smart City platform and the developing export direction.

"Hited" representatives presented their interest in further work on the territory of Tatarstan at a meeting with the leadership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

"Hited" decisions were used in the Kazan Universiade 2013, particularly, in the main subject of student games - football stadium. This year, the company's decisions have been used at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

The meeting was attended by TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, TIDA Head of public-private partnership Sergey Golovin and Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov. "Hited" company director Eugene Marikutsa and "Hited" Project Manager Eugene Trushnikov announced about effective energy solutions of the company. Representatives of the "Hited" also noted that already held negotiations on cooperation in the field of power supply with the one of the industrial parks of Tatarstan.

Till the V International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2013) remains 40 days.

At the organizational conference, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, came representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan hippodrome, "Kazan" International airport and Tatarstan customs. Andrey Baklanov - representative of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation also attended the meeting.

International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries KazanSummit 2013 held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from 2009. This year, Kazan meets anniversary KazanSummit.

Ildar Halikov in his welcoming speech underscored that the summit has not only federal (from 2012 summit is supported by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation), but also worldwide recognition.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov held today meetings in the Plenipotentiary representative in the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation with representatives of Russian and foreign companies.

The meetings were held with representatives of "Jason & Partners Consulting", European Investment Bank and the representation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Trade Department (KOTRA) in the Russian Federation.

In a working meeting with “Jason & Partners Consulting” were discussed issues of cooperation between the parties in the framework of implementation the Cooperation Memorandum, signed on  July 30, current year. During the last working visit to Moscow on July 30, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov met with the executive director of "Jason & Partners Consulting" Sergei Shavkunov. The result of discussion was the signing of a memorandum, under which the company will provide assistance and support in the developing of informational and communicational component of a new investment platform of Tatarstan - Kazan Smart City.
