Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) provides all-round support of two major projects of Turkish investors. Projects are fully supported by the acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, says TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

Progress on these ambitious investment-cases - the creation of a specialized organized greenhouse area and production of composite pipes was discussed at the beginning of the week (18 August) by Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Mir Holding" and "Dizayn Grup" (Turkey) Ibrahim Mirmahmutoğulları.

Earlier Turkish corporation appealed to TIDA, which formed a work plan for further cooperation and carried out comprehensive work to assist potential investors.

Mega greenhouse in Tatarstan: 10 thousand jobs and 20 thousand tomatoes from 1 seed

The investment project to build a large greenhouse complex on the cultivation of agricultural products on advanced technologies is planned to locate in Tatarstan and the meaning of "mega greenhouse" is the all-Russian.

Area of a greenhouse, which will include the ecological system of the greenhouse, laboratory and logistics center will be 1250 hectares. The capacity will be increased by stages within 7 years. The declared volume of investments - 2,3 billion dollar. Staff - 10 thousand people.

The uniqueness of the proposed technology in the following (tomatoes as an example):

- 20 thousand tomatoes are possible to grow from 1 seed in 180 days;

- Products are environmentally friendly (both in terms of the use of fertilizers and the environment);

- The technology allows to reduce costs (for example, only 6 liters of water needed for irrigation of 1 kg of tomatoes - 150 liters is required for the same in a usual greenhouse).

The technology is planned to apply in the specialized organized greenhouse area in the SEZ "Alabuga".

Project of import replacement, which will enable citizens to get more environmentally friendly and cheaper vegetables and fruits than imported, will create thousands of new jobs.

Protected composite pipes: versatility and cost reduction

Another project of "Mir Holding" and "Dizayn grup" is the localization of the production of plastic pipes made from polyethylene and polypropylene.

"The opening of the plant is planned for the current year. Total capitalization - 28 million dollar. Foreign direct investment in the first phase will amount to 12 million dollar, will be created 88 jobs. Payback period - from 4 to 7 years, that isa very good indicator for a investment project", - said TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

It is expected that the list of produced products will include continuous fiber-reinforced composite pipes, - " Dizayn RTP”.

They have a number of advantages: it is a high compressive strength, high corrosion resistance, smooth inner surface (lower costs for injection), flexibility. Due to these properties composite pipes are sufficiently versatile and suitable for the transportation of water, oil, natural gas, chemicals, and require virtually no maintenance: there is a 50 years guarantee of maintenance-free operation.

This high-tech products is likely to be in demand for the implementation of important international projects.

At a meeting with the Head of the Executive Committee of the municipality were discussed issues of attracting investment and supporting enterprises in the ​​searching for partners and sales in Russia and abroad.

Note that in September is expected to sign an agreement on twinning between the Turkish Denizli anf Kukmor Region.
