Tatarstan holds the first place among the regions of Russian Federation with the best socio-economic development.
This ranking was announced by the Minister of Regional Development of Russia Igor Slyunyayev at the meeting chaired by Dmitry Medvedev. At the meeting evaluated the effectiveness of executive authorities of the Russian Federation in 2012 and the distribution of grants in the form of intergovernmental transfers.
As Igor Slyunyaev noted, there is identified 20 federal regions with the best socio-economic development. These include the Republic of Tatarstan, Belgorod, Voronezh, Krasnodar and Kaluga regions.
The assessment was made by a number of indicators: lifetime, the volume of investment in fixed assets (excluding the budget); turnover of goods (services) produced by small enterprises, including micro-enterprises; the amount of tax and non-tax revenues of the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation and the unemployment rate. Among the indicators are also graduates of state (municipal) educational institutions, not passed the state examination, the proportion of children without parental care and others.
Within two days to the representatives of Altai Main Department of Economy and Investment and CAU «Altai Public-private partnership and investments» was presented the republic’s investment experience, issues of interaction between government and business, as well as investment projects and industrial sites of the region.
In Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) delegation met with TIDA First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, heads of investment projects monitoring and support, development of public-private partnership (PPP) departments, as well as Tatarstan Development Corporation Deputy CEO Jawdat Akhmanov.
At the meeting discussed investors attracting, a large-scale “Invest in Tatarstan” PR-campaign, republic’s industrial estates and special economic zones, as well as cooperation with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). The parties also discussed the «one window» principle, the standard of executive authorities and iPMS (Investment Project Monitoring System).
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) took part in a meeting of the club, which was held in Moscow Representation of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
The event was attended by about 20 representatives of Japanese companies interested in cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan.
Invitation to participate in the meeting of the Japanese business club was announced during a visit to the region of a Director of the Nomura Research Institute (NRI) Moscow branch Iwao Ohashi. In September Mr. Ohashi accompanied delegation of Japanese companies in visiting Tatarstan.
During the meeting in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Iwao Ohashi invited TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and TDC CEO Bulat Gayanov to present in Japanese business Club. Mr. Ohashi underscored that business club members need to know about Tatarstan’s interesting and unique project - Kazan Smart City. He also noted that the project can use Japanese technologies.
Multriwell and Trisoplast Mineral Liners companies (Netherlands) already implemented the same project in Samara.
Prospects for using «multriwell» (biogas pumping) and «trisoplast» (garbage layers insulation) effective systems in the places of garbage collection in Tatarstan, as well as the feasibility of the project were discussed at the meetings, held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
During the first meeting Trisoplast Mineral Liners (Netherlands) Commercial Director Yudjin Timerman, the representative of the company’s Russian office Vladislav Proskuriakov presented projects on the production of insulation materials for the efficient gas extraction and further electricity production.
At the same meeting ecological park «Samosyrovo» CEO Ramil Ismagilov told about the prospects of using Netherlands technologies in Kazan. Multriwell and Trisoplast Mineral Liners are among the first residents of eco-park (total planned to have 35 residents). The Ecopark, which is created on the initiative of JSC "Kazan ecological complex", is positioned as the site for the interdependent enterprises producing consumer goods from waste products.
According to the «RIA Rating» agency Republic of Tatarstan rated as the one of the leading regions by quality of life. It is located in the fourth place.
Rating includes 61 indexes, which are combined into 10 groups, characterizing the main aspects of quality of life in the region. Among them: income level, housing conditions, availability of social infrastructure, environmental and climatic conditions, security, demographics, health and education, transport infrastructure, territory development level, level of economic and small business development.
The first positions in the ranking are given to Moscow and St. Petersburg, who are leaders by many aspects. The top ten also includes economically developed regions such as Moscow region, Tatarstan, Krasnodar, Belgorod, Voronezh region, Khanty-Mansi autonomous region – Yugra, Tyumen and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
At the discussion reviewed issues of Tatarstan medical products promotion to the other countries.
The meeting, which was held in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA), was attended by TIDA Deputy Chief Executive Insaf Galiyev, Tatarstan Exports Corporation CEO Ayrat Nazmeev, Tatarstan Export Corporation First Deputy Aidar Abdrahmanov, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce Deputy Chairman Arthur Nikolaev, Tatarstan Export Support Center Chief Executive Vasily Chistyakov and the heads of several major medical companies.
During the discussion were presented Tatarstan investment opportunities and Smart City Kazan project, whose investment attractiveness is based on the cluster development of the territory and where medical cluster will be created.
In a joint conference in Moscow, organized by «Vedomosti» newspaper and the Strategic Initiatives Agency (ASI) discussed the results of the National entrepreneurial initiative «Improving the investment climate in the Russian Federation» (NPI) – Vladimir Putin's project to improve the business environment in the Russian Federation.
«100 steps to the favorable investment climate. Achievements and new challenges – 2013» conference was held after two years since Vladimir Putin’s initiative on implementation of the National entrepreneurial initiative. For the next two years Russian President defined a task to complete the NPI roadmaps implementation and create a comfortable business regulatory environment.
Event’s audience was very impressive: there participated government agencies, regional administration, controlling services, social movements, certification and standardization bodies’ representatives and businessmen – all those who can give critical appreciation of the work done and set goals for the future 2014 - 2015.
Attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan as a platform for the development of the service industry and tourism discussed yesterday in Moscow on an investment seminar, organized by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
The seminar was attended by representatives of Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group, «ICS Travel Group», Mamaison All-Suites Spa Hotel Pokrovka, Courtyard Marriott Kazan, PwC, the Association of Russian business tourism, EY, Russian Franchise Association, CNBC, Russian-Turkish business association, Mexico, France, Malaysia embassies in Russia and others.
Opening the event, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) Chief Executive Linar Yakupov underscored that holding investment seminars on priority areas of the region on a regular basis promotes the republic and builds the dialogue with investors.
In a study of investment attractiveness, provided by the National Rating Agency (NRA), Tatarstan took the fifth place.
Russian regions attractiveness rating is based on the Agency's own methodology. The aim of the project is to identify regions of Russia, which are the most attractive in terms of investment projects in their territory. The results of the Russian regions investment attractiveness rating is based on data for 2012.
The research used such indicators as the availability of natural and human resources, infrastructure, the effectiveness of legislation, stability of the regional budget, production and market capacity. Rating is developed by NRA experts in collaboration with the authoritative experts – representatives of the investment and the scientific community.
Tatarstan Republic got the IC2 group – high investment attraction - the second level. In the top 5 are Moscow city and Sakhalin region (group IC1 – high investment attraction - the first level), Belgorod (the third) and Moscow region (the 4th).
During the event will be presented the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, the advantages of starting business in the territory of the republic and the detailed analysis of the tourism sector of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will present the republic’s tourism cluster at the seminar, which will take place on December 12 at the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.
Service Industry and tourism is one of the eight priority areas of the Republic of Tatarstan, which are identified as the main point of the region's growth. «Service Industry and tourism» investment seminar will be attended by representatives of Tatarstan, Russian and foreign companies working in this field.
