Today in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was a meeting with representatives of the South Korean investment and construction company Highvill Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by TIDA Deputy Insaf Galiev, Tatarstan Development Corporation CEO Bulat Gayanov.
Kazan’s Aeroexpress high-speed train connecting the city center and Kazan International Airport began operating on a full schedule today. The Aeroexpress train makes 18 trips daily (9 in each direction), starting at 7 a.m. at Kazan International Airport. The last train leaves the airport at 12:15 a.m.
Partial service of the Kazan Aeroexpress began on 22 May of this year. The line was built as part of the preparatory work done for the 27th Summer Universiade, which will begin in Kazan on 6 July.
According to Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, the Kazan Aeroexpress connecting Kazan and Kazan International Airport will play a key role in the economic development of the republic. The Aeroexpress line will also do much to further the development of Kazan Smart City.
Ramada Kazan City Center has opened in Kazan, becoming the third hotel of the Wyndham Hotel Group brand Ramada in Russia.
The four-star hotel has 157 rooms of business, deluxe, and luxe suites, and one presidential suite. In total, the hotel occupies 11,500 square meters and has 50 underground parking spaces. The hotel is located on 39 ul. Chernyshevskogo, not far from the Kazan Train Station.

Two years ago in June 1, 2011 by the decree of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was established.
Recall that Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was established in 2011 to provide an open dialogue of the Government of the Republic with investors. It is an executive body, which possesses the same authority as other Tatarstan Ministries and whose activities are aimed to attract investment, create a favorable investment climate, increase the investment attractiveness of the region and supporting the implementation of investment projects in the republic in a "one window" regime. The agency also is the body which maintains the register of agreements on public-private partnership in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) and Kronos Energy Solutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding today in the offices of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA).
The memorandum was signed by Kronos Energy Solutions President John Bogensberger and TDC CEO Bulat Gayanov. The signing was witnessed by TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Kronos Energy Solutions Vice President Lisa Bogensberger, and representatives of the Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company.
Under the agreement, TDC and Kronos Energy Solutions will work together towards developing a program to implement renewable energy solutions in Kazan Smart City.
The signing of the agreement comes two days after TIDA, TDC, and Kronos Energy Solutions held their first meeting on 27 May.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) Chief Executive Linar Yakupov was a speaker at «Future of the City», a forum hosted by the magazine «Delovoi Kvartal».
Linar Yakupov participated in the first panel discussion about the creation of technoparks and what kind of technoparks are needed to develop Kazan. Other participants in the panel discussion were the Management of Technopark Khimgrad, General Director of Technopark Idea Ayrat Gizzatullin, Skolkovo Investment Fund Director Eduard Kanolosh, Special Economic Zone Alabuga Head of Investor Development Timu Khaziev, and IT-Park Director Anton Grachev.
The discussion began with a viewing of a video clip about the first technopark in the work, where Henry Ford opened his first factory. According to the moderator Lenar Fayzutdinov, Managing Partner of the marketing agency Darwin Theory, Tatarstan is only behind the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg Region in terms of the number of technoparks.
Representatives of the Tatarstan Gulf Investment Company (TGIF) are currently in Kazan to hold working meetings surrounding their participation in Kazan Smart City.
Today TGIC officials met with Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, TIDA First Deputy Robert Galiullin, and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) CEO Bulat Gayanov to discuss their future plans.
This visit to Kazan is nearly one month after TGIC officials met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai on 30 April to discuss their company’s interest in participating in the development of Kazan Smart City. TGIF and TDC signed a memorandum of understanding immediately following that meeting.
TGIC officials expressed their certainty that projects similar to Kazan Smart City have enjoyed tremendous success globally and have been particularly useful in attracting new international business and investment and developing new sectors of the economy. TGIC is interested in becoming a partner in attracting investors and residents to Kazan Smart City from the Middle East.
The third Business Forum “Future of the City” opened today at the hotel “Mirage”, organized by the magazine «Delovoi Kvartal» and with the support of Ministry of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Experts from business and government will discuss issue: “Which technoparks are needed to Kazan”.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and Head of the department of public-private partnership Sergey Golovin will participate in Forum from Tatarstan Investment Department Policy. Lenar Yakupov will perform as part of the first panel discussion - "Technoparks: "exhaust "from inserted." During the discussion, the participants will discuss how to measure the effectiveness of business platforms, which companies receive preferential conditions in these areas and is it enough innovative projects for existing technoparks. Another issue for discussion will be the development of industrial parks in terms of improving their efficiency.
J’son & Partners Consulting – a consultancy firm in telecommunications, high technology, IT, and media – met with representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) and Tatarstan Development Corporation (TDC) today.
Among those that participated in the meeting were TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, TDC CEO Bulat Gayanov, J’son & Partners Consulting acting Director Evgeniy Pligin, Executive Director Sergey Shavkunov, and Division Head Yuriy Ishmaev.

Today the Public Advisory Board of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) held its first meeting of 2013.
The TIDA Public Advisory Board was formed on the basis of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan’s directive «On Public Advisory Boards for Ministries and Government Bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan».
During the meeting, TIDA Chief Executive Linar Yakupov briefed the members about the work TIDA does towards attracting foreign investment into priority sectors of the economy of Tatarstan.
