With a working visit to participate in the XVIII Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) arrived Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The official delegation of the Republic includes Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.
The forum's theme – «Building trust in an era of change». The program is built around five main thematic areas: «The summit of global business leaders», «Risk management to promote growth», «Development of the competitive potential of Russia», «Management of breakthrough technologies and adapting to changes», «Leadership Series: Talks defining the future».
Zhang Zhuymin at the meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan considers being a good platform for the successful implementation of the company’s project.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan thanked the founder of Haier for the opportunity to visit the factory and to see the production.
«Today we visited the showroom and were very impressed with your development and progress, - shared Mr. Minnikhanov. - And we are very interested in joint projects with you».
President of the Republic of Tatarstan said about the decision to establish a joint working group to uncover new perspective areas of cooperation between the Republic and Haier. Zhang Zhuymin in response said that Haier has planned to build production facilities in Russia and a long time chose the site.
At the meeting with Haier Mr. Minnikhanov told that relations between the Chinese manufacturer and the Republic of Tatarstan should not be limited on the construction of the plant in the KIP «Master».

The President noted that the manufacturing of molds for stamping is interesting for Tatarstan as a region with the development of polymers, automotive and aviation industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov also suggested the Haier company to organize educational programs for Tatarstan specialists who will be working at the company, noting that the production of such modern technology requires special skills and relevant training.
A visit to the factory and the headquarter of the largest manufacturer of home appliances in the world took place within the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the official delegation of the Russian Federation to China.

At the Haier’s plant in Qingdao, the delegation visited the line for the production of molds for forming the various parts - automotive components, home appliances parts and aircraft parts. At the company's headquarters for representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan held a tour in the «smart house» format, where products of Haier were presented. Here the guests acquainted with the history of the business since 1984 till present days.
The sides discussed prospects for development of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Chinese province of Shandong.
The meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan with the first secretary of the Qingdao Party Committee – a member of the Shandong Party Committee Mr. Li Tsyun also attended by Assistant to the President for International Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, «Ak Bars Bank» first deputy chairman Zoufar Garayev, SEZ «Alabuga» CEO Timur Shagivaleev.
Li Qun told about the city's economy, noting that one of the largest enterprises of Qingdao is a factory for the production of household appliances - Haier company, also production for the high-speed rail, developed banking sector. First Secretary announced its readiness to develop cooperation with Tatarstan in different areas.
During the visit, to Rustam Minnikhanov presented the development of new and high-tech industrial park – «Shanghai Pudong» software- park.
Technopark’s area is 580 thousand square meters, and has 38,000 employees of IT companies. 1391 resident, including 562 – actually have offices in Technopark. Revenues in 2013 amounted to 55.2 billion yuan (9.2 billion dollars).
As the representatives of the zone noted, the relatively high cost of living in Shanghai and high wages makes the leadership of SEZ to provide additional benefits to companies. Thus, the Chinese government partially subsidizes rents for startups.
In the industrial park have their development centers and manufacturing facilities are well-known companies – electronics manufacturers like HTC, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments.
First Kazan Urban Forum will be held June 6 at the site of the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014).
The event was organized in conjunction with the Organising Committee of KazanSummit and operator of Kazan Smart City – JSC Tatarstan Development Corporation.
To the future development of the city and solving problems of its beautification actively participated townspeople launched a number of competitions aimed at collecting ideas and effective solutions, proposed by residents of Kazan.
The main themes of the contest are renovation of parks, competition for the creation of architectural form for the improvement of parks and squares of the city, as well as competition for the separate collection of urban initiatives, where the main problem areas were identified garbage collection, the development of the city and bike theft problem, and pets’ paddock.

Mr. Minnikhanov took part in the negotiations of Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of China Xi Jinping. The sides discussed trade and economic relations between Russia and China, the development of bilateral relations, partnership and strategic interaction. Vladimir Putin said that in 2013 the trade turnover between the two countries increased by almost 2% and approached $ 90 billion.
Russia has also invited Chinese friends in 2015 to become a partner country of a major international industrial exhibition «INNOPROM», which will take place in Yekaterinburg. Russian President underscored that improving the structure of bilateral trade should be focusing on high-technology areas such as civil aviation, space, nuclear energy. He also noted that the Russian-Chinese cooperation became an important factor of international stability.
The ceremony was held at the WAIPA International Investment Conference (WAIPA World Investment Conference) in Istanbul.
The memorandum fixes the cooperation between the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian Investment Agency «Invest in Russia» and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). The document was signed by Minister of Regional Development of Russia Igor Slyunyaev, WAIPA President Ilker Aydzhi, Head of «Invest in Russia» Yuri Spiridonov and WAIPA CEO Carlos Bronzatto.
The memorandum was signed in order to further expand of bilateral cooperation in the field of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, including the field of investment. Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and WAIPA agreed to regular evaluation of the cooperation’s results and to develop proposals for its further development. As required, will be held consultations on cooperation.
Forum, organized by Tatarstan Development Corporation, will be held on June 6 at the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KazanSummit 2014).
Partners of the event are Kazan City Administration, KSU Governance and Territorial Development Institute, Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE).
Kazan Urban Forum - this is the first area in Kazan, which is a logical continuation of the new initiatives in the field of urban development and Public Works. Forum will bring together professional community in urbanism, urban development and architecture from both Russia and abroad, and will serve as a platform that will allow residents of Kazan to actively participation in the discussion.
